Inside Bella & Lindy Saratoga’s Pet Boutique, you will experience a chic, luxurious feel with a fusion of moderately priced apparel, bags, accessories, and treats for pups and their people.
2. What made you decide to open Bella & Lindy Saratoga’s Pet Boutique?
Fashion, retail, and pets are my passion! I graduated with a degree in Fashion Merchandising, studied pet product design and marketing, and FIT in New York City. I am also certified in pet CPR! I worked in the city, buying and planning for corporate retail companies and then when I moved to upstate New York, I wanted a career change. With my passion for pets, I decided to completely immerse myself into the pet industry, so I worked for a veterinary clinic and learned all about veterinary care. I joined foster organizations to help out the community, and today I live and breathe fashion and pets, and I love sharing my passion with other pet owners. So, basically, Bella & Lindy Saratoga’s Pet Boutique has been in the works for many years – a place where I can share my love of dogs and one-of-a-kind items. My dogs are my children and Bella & Lindy Saratoga’s Pet Boutique is for all of those other owners that love to dote on their pets as much as I do!
3. What makes Bella & Lindy Saratoga’s Pet Boutique unique?
We are a lifestyle boutique for pups and their owners…a place where you can shop for a new handbag for yourself and have a custom fitting done for your pooch for unique apparel and pet items from around the world including Australia, England, and Italy! When you walk into Bella & Lindy Saratoga’s Pet Boutique, you’ll feel like you’re walking into a “Tiffany box” full of delightful treats for you and your dog. Sample treats, while browsing through our fashion magazines and learning about unique products and services outside of Bella & Lindy Saratoga’s Pet Boutique to indulge your chic pet.
4. Where is Bella & Lindy Saratoga’s Pet Boutique located?
We are located in the Saratoga Marketplace, downstairs at 454 Broadway; next to Comfort Kitchen.
5. What are some of your favorite products?
Oh, there are so many to choose from! One of our favorites that we debuted at our Open House is a “hidden harness” from a wonderful new company and designer down in New York City. Another cool idea – one of our collar vendors recycles old leashes or collars into key fobs with the purchase of a new one. Of course, we don’t want to give away too many details; you’ll just have to come by and see us to find out about the newest in pet products in Saratoga Springs or visit us online!
6. Do you own dogs? If yes, how many and what breeds?
I am a big advocate of adoption! Two of my darlings, Heather and Sassy, were rescues! They were the “misfits” that nobody wanted and I have a soft spot for adopting older dogs and letting them live out the rest of their lives in luxury! My dogs basically run my boutique and nothing gets in without their stamp of approval. Heather, the official Bella & Lindy Saratoga’s Pet Boutique Shop Dog, is a Chihuahua CFO (Chief Furry Officer). You will find her curled up in her bed, crunching numbers behind the cash register with her mom, every day. Sassy is a Pug CEO (Chief Eating Officer), whose role is to test and approve all treats that come through our doors. She takes her job very seriously, so keep your own treats close! Chiquito is my Toy Fox Terrier CTO (Chief Testing Officer), whose main purpose at the boutique is to test out toys, bedding, and apparel. He is a little ham and loves to model our latest fashions. Stop in to see him strut his stuff! I also am pleased to say that I am a foster mom to Pugs for Green Mountain Pug Rescue!
9. What do you love most about Saratoga?
I love the culture and diversity here! Moving here from the city, Saratoga has given me that small town feeling, with the culture of a big city…and I love how much of a dog-friendly city it is!
10. Is there anything else you would like to share about your business?
At Bella & Lindy Saratoga’s Pet Boutique, our goal is to make our customers, both the two-legged and four-legged, feel special, unique, and pampered with our one-of-a-king items. I take great pride in my research, scoping the 
industry to always keep the newest people and pet fashions in Saratoga Springs NY. And we don’t just sell, we educate! My clients are educated on health, apparel, and the latest in cutting-edge fashion.
